recited from the tops of ladders

...most musicians can’t hear a single
sound, they listen only to the relationship between
two or more sounds. Music for them has nothing to
do with their powers of audition, but only to do
with their powers of observing relationships. In
order to do this, they have to ignore all the crying
babies, fire engines, telephone bells, coughs, that
happen to occur during their auditions. Actually,
if you run into people who are really interested in
hearing sounds, you’re apt to find them fascinated
by the quiet ones. “Did you hear that?” they will
say.

the way of paradoxes is the way of truth

why i love you too!
you had me at large format newspaper stock.

I Love You is my personal point of view
on fashion and lifestyle — like a blog, but printed.

another favourite newsprint magazine is the beautiful
acne paper as well as pie, and this one from 08

this newspaper printing machinery is scarily hypnotic...

losing my way in a labyrinth of grimy streets

spaces between...the ultimate grey area.
japan has the best alleyways and i became a little obsessed with photographing them when i was there...

Japanese architect Tsuyoshi Ando has explored this concept in his house of corridors... Mysterious, minimal and just extremely cool. see more at what we do is secret.

sarcasm and irony

these are not new punctuation marks, they just never really caught on,
in the 60s there were also vague plans for a doubt mark and a love point

not sure how i feel about excessive punctuation. dont think i would ever feel the need to tag a sentence with ['theres a double meaning in this sentence' LOOK FOR IT]... but then i've never used an emoticon either.

wonder what the love point is for... is it like in kindergarten when you say;
'i don't mean to be mean but'.....[something mean].
